Yutong Hosts EV Maintenance Training in Karachi: Hands-On, Theory-Driven Sessions Bolster Local Service Capabilities
As part of its continued push into the Pakistani market, Yutong recently held a specialized training program in Karachi focused on electric bus maintenance and repair. The goal is to give local service teams the technical know-how and hands-on experience they need to support the growing fleet of new energy buses and build a rock-solid service foundation for what’s next.

Since Yutong electric buses entered into Pakistan in volume, building a strong local service team has been key to keeping operations smooth. New-energy buses come with complex electrical systems and demanding maintenance requirements, so Yutong together with its local dealers organized deep-dive technical sessions covering core component repairs and fault diagnosis.

The two-day program ran on two parallel tracks: classroom learning and real-world practice. In the theory sessions, instructors walked participants through electric bus architecture, high-voltage safety standards, and daily maintenance essentials with plenty of active engagement from the room. Then came the hands-on part: trainees worked on Yutong E9 electric buses currently in service in Karachi, inspecting batteries, motors, and electronic control systems, and running through fault diagnosis and maintenance drills.
