Yutong’s commitment to localization: The first Pakistani KD-assembled 9INE rolled off the production line
Recently, Yutong’s Pakistan KD factory (Karachi) witnessed a historic moment - the first locally assembled Yutong 9INE coach rolled off the production line. This 9INE is a 9-meter mid-to-high-end coach dedicated for the Pakistani market. It retains Yutong’s signature high reliability and safety while achieving comprehensive improvements in comfort, economy, and adaptability—another testament to Yutong’s deepening commitment to the local market.

The local production of the 9INE is not a simple assembly of components, but a full-process manufacturing that covers: welding, painting, final assembly and inspection. With localized production, the vehicle delivery cycle is significantly shortened, enabling a faster response to market demand. At the same time, local sourcing and assembly effectively reduce the overall cost, providing Pakistani operators with more competitive product options and achieving true value co-creation.
Yutong entered in Pakistan since 2008. Starting with the export of complete vehicles, it established its first KD plant in 2016, and today has successfully launched the 9INE model, marking a steady deepening of its localization strategy. The factory has since become the largest and most comprehensive KD facility in Pakistan’s bus industry. Models like the Yutong NOVA (C13PRO) and 9INE (C9) are equipped with unique technologies such as Yutong’s second-generation engine thermal management, the Blue Core intelligent fuel-saving system, and the robust closed-ring structure. These innovations deliver outstanding safety and fuel efficiency, bringing transformative technological advancements to the Pakistani market.
Yutong has established a comprehensive product portfolio in Pakistan covering all scenarios, including city and intercity buses, commuters, school buses, and airport buses, maintaining a leading market share. The successful launch of the 9INE model marks a milestone in Yutong’s strategy of "localized manufacturing, localized services, and localized talent," and represents a tangible achievement in China-Pakistan industrial cooperation within the high-end manufacturing sector.

The 9INE model will further enrich Yutong’s product lineup in Pakistan. In the future, Yutong will continue to introduce more models tailored to the Pakistani market through its local KD factory, partnering with local stakeholders to drive the transformation of public transportation toward greener, more efficient, and smarter solutions, creating greater value for the people of Pakistan.
The successful rollout of the first 9INE marks a new milestone in Yutong’s localization journey in Pakistan. It is not just another vehicle off the production line, but a testament to Yutong’s deep-rooted partnership and shared growth with the Pakistani market. Yutong will remain committed to its technology-driven approach and quality-focused philosophy, infusing Pakistan’s transportation development with more Chinese wisdom and Yutong strength.
