On November 5, Yutong Bus held a new product launch event in Lahore, Pakistan, introducing two new pure electric group commuter buses—ZK6125BEV and ZK6772BEV. The ZK6125BEV is Yutong's first pure electric commuter bus launched in Pakistan, was officially delivered to customer Olympia at the event. Mr. Bilal Akbar Khan, Minister of Transport and Mass Transit Government of the Punjab;Mr. Robin, CEO of Yutong Bus Middle East; Mr. Paul,Country Manager of Yutong Pakistan; and local business representatives attended the event, jointly witnessing an important step forward in Yutong’s new energy strategy for the group commuter market in Pakistan.

Government and enterprises join hands to promote the green transportation transition

In recent years, Punjab Province has been steadily advancing its green transportation strategy and accelerating the electrification of public transit. To date, over 1,100 electric buses have been deployed across the province, with an additional 2,000 expected to join the public transportation system next year.

Minister of Transport and Masstransit Government of the Punjab, Mr. Bilal Akbar Khan, stated at the event that Yutong's new-energy buses delivered in recent years have operated stably and reliably, making a positive contribution to local green transportation development. He acknowledged the Yutong's technological strength and manufacturing capabilities, expressing that Yutong is a trustworthy partner.

Mr. Robin, CEO of Yutong Bus Middle East Region, said that Yutong is honored to participate in Punjab Province's green mobility transformation.In the future, Yutong will continue to leverage its global expertise in new energy technologies and reliable product solutions to deepen collaboration with Pakistan governments and industry partners, contributing to the development of green transportation in Pakistan.

Yutong Pakistan's General Manager, Mr. Paul, stated in an interview that Yutong has delivered over 500 new energy vehicles to the local market in the past year and a half. The product quality and operational performance have earned recognition from both the Punjab provincial government and local residents. Yutong will actively respond to the call of the Punjab government by providing new energy products tailored to Pakistani operating scenarios, creating comprehensive, multi-scenario mobility solutions to support the transition toward green transportation. The two new energy vehicles—ZK6125BEV and ZK6772BEV—launched for the first time in Pakistan are primarily designed for commuting and short-distance passenger travel, addressing the varied mobility needs of corporate clients and passengers across different industries.

Two electric models precisely meet diverse commuting needs

Mr. Wen, Yutong's sales manager fof Pakistan, officially launched the ZK6125BEV and ZK6772BEV electric buses at the event, providing a detailed introduction to Yutong's leading new energy technologies, qualities,systems, and the key advantages of the two new models. With their high capacity and flexible, efficient product configurations, these new products meet diverse commuting needs across factories, mining sites, university campuses, and urban shuttle services in Pakistan, offering customers more versatile green mobility solutions.

ZK6125BEV: High capacity and long range, delivering an efficient commuting solution

As the highlight of this launch event, the ZK6125BEV is 12.46 meters long and features a 3+2 seating layout, offering 66+1 seats. With high capacity, low total cost of ownership, and enhanced safety, it meets the demands of large-scale group commuting.

Equipped with the new-generation BC5 255 kWh battery and liquid cooling system, the vehicle consumes 0.9-1.2 kWh per kilometer, delivering a real-world range of 212-249 km (from 100% to 12% SOC). An optional 310 kWh battery is also available to further extend the range. The vehicle features a high-power air conditioning system with both cooling and heating functions, enabling it to meet operational demands across different seasons.

With its safety, reliability, high passenger capacity, and low total cost of ownership, the ZK6125BEV is ideal for commuter services between cities and factories, mining areas, and university campuses.

ZK6772BEV: Compact and flexible, enhancing short-haul shuttle efficiency

The ZK6772BEV is 7.73 meters long, offering 28+1 seats, and equipped with the new-generation BC5 176 kWh battery, providing a range of 175–221 kilometers and an energy consumption of 0.7–0.9 kWh/km per 100 kilometers.

The vehicle features direct-drive motor technology with a rated power of 120 kW, offering lower energy consumption, higher efficiency, and smooth, quiet performance. With a minimum turning radius of approximately 8 meters, it can easily navigate narrow alleys in  old towns and campus roads, making U-turns more convenient and flexible. It combines strong power efficiency with agile handling, delivering compactness, high efficiency, safety, comfort, reliability, and peace of mind. 

This vehicle model is suitable for factory, government, and corporate employee commuting, short-distance passenger travel, and similar scenarios, offering customers a flexible and efficient option for short trips.

Enhance service support to help customers operate with confidence

In addition to the official launch of two new models, Yutong continues to enhance its service and support system in Pakistan. At the event, Mr. Huzaifa, Yutong Pakistan's Parts and Service Manager, reiterated the "Seven Care-Free Service Commitments" for local customers, providing long-term stable vehicle operation through comprehensive service assurance and parts support, thereby further reducing customer operational concerns.

From public citybus transportation to group commuting, from large coaches to flexible shuttle models, the Yutong team will continue expanding its product portfolio in Pakistan's new-energy commercial vehicle market.
